SYNOPSIS
In the fall of 1935, notorious gangster Dutch Schultz disappears into the Catskill Mountains with two trusted associates and a fortune in cash. Hours later, Schultz and his men are ambushed in a roadside tavern. Amid the bloodshed, a young bartender named Ray becomes the sole surviving witness to the gangster’s final moments.

Before dying, Schultz leaves behind a cryptic clue pointing toward the hidden location of his missing treasure. For decades, the mystery captivated treasure hunters, criminals, and dreamers. Some spend their lives searching. Some died trying. Nobody has found the money.

Dutch Treat

Sixty years later, Ray is an old man nearing the end of his life. The secret he has carried since that night remains unsolved. His grandson Charlie Tucker is facing a crisis of his own. Once-proud family farmland is drowning under debt, equipment failures, and foreclosure notices. His marriage is fraying. His daughter watches helplessly as the life her family built begins to collapse around them.

When Ray finally reveals his connection to Dutch Schultz and produces a map taken from the gangster’s hand on the night of the massacre, Charlie dismisses it as an old man’s fantasy. But as his financial situation worsens and Ray’s health rapidly declines, Charlie agrees to help investigate the mystery.

What begins as a desperate search for answers becomes an obsession.

Following forgotten trails, abandoned landmarks, and fragments of local folklore, Charlie and Ray retrace Schultz’s final days through the mountains and valleys of the Catskills. Along the way they discover that the legend never truly died. Others have been watching the same land for years, convinced that the treasure is real and worth killing for.

As Charlie draws closer to the truth, intimidation turns into sabotage. The pressure on his farm intensifies. A devastating fire nearly claims the life of his daughter. Old friendships are tested, loyalties fracture, and Charlie realizes that the search for Schultz’s fortune has awakened forces far more dangerous than a buried cache of cash.

After Ray’s death, Charlie is left with one final chance to finish the quest his grandfather began six decades earlier. Deep in the mountains, he uncovers evidence that Dutch Schultz’s treasure was never a myth.

But the discovery forces him to confront a larger question: whether the fortune represents salvation—or the same curse that has destroyed everyone who has chased it.

Dutch Treat is a rural thriller inspired by one of America’s most enduring treasure legends—a story of family, legacy, greed, and the price of pursuing a dream buried beneath the Catskill Mountains.

When a covert CIA uranium airlift is annihilated by Russian gunships, a wounded Air Force colonel presumed dead is forced out of hiding to lead his old hunting crew on a rogue rescue mission into a snowbound Romanian air base—before a Kremlin power broker turns the fallout into a “second Chernobyl.”
