Synopsis
Homegrown opens in the wake of a black-ops disaster that never officially happened. A covert CIA–Air Force mission to extract 185 tons of radioactive uranium from the ruins of Chernobyl is ambushed on a Ukrainian runway, leaving most of the unit dead and the operation exposed. Colonel Gabe Fletcher, the mission’s commander, survives against the odds—but is declared dead for political convenience. Broken, wounded, and disillusioned, Fletcher disappears to his old hunting camp in rural Pennsylvania, intent on leaving war behind.

That fragile peace shatters when intelligence confirms that several members of Fletcher’s unit are trapped inside a remote Romanian air base along with the uranium. The Kremlin is closing in, and a ruthless Russian fixer plans to engineer a nuclear “incident” that would force Ukraine and the West into submission. With forty-eight hours before the situation detonates—literally and politically—Fletcher is coerced back into action for one final, deniable mission.
